Bumblebee Jasper is actually very rare, since it has only been found in the Papandayan Volcano, in West Java Province, Indonesia. A relatively new discovery made in the 1990’s.

It’s coloured bands are a result of inclusions of sulfur (yellow), calcium and Aragonite (white), Orpiment and Realgar (orange) and Pyrite (black).
